Tailgate light strip

Hello all
I have a LT 2010 Tahoe and I added a light strip for brake and turn lights but I have a current issue and don’t know where to start looking. It works find and lights the turn signals to the right side when applied BUT when I apply the brakes it switches sides. When I’m braking if I put the right turn signal the left lights up when I brake. All ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Get out the wiring diagrams and re-check your wiring. It seems to me that your issue is in how you wired it.
