Tail Light not working

My 2004 Yukon drivers side tail light isn't working.

I have switched the entire twilight to see if its any of the bulbs and they all work on the opposite side just fine.
I also confirmed that the wire connected to the specific spot in which the light would be plugged in isnt working.
I was told "tracing" a wire can be torture, but I have no clue where to have someone take a look for it for me?
Is this a common issue? Is it a simple wire replacement?
Light connections include the main running light, the reverse light and the brake light. The brake light works fine and the reverse light does as well.

Any suggestions?

Your owner's manual (available for download from GM - free) shows the fuses. Have you checked the underhood fuse indicated below?

One thing to add -- but this is not very common -- check the trailer 7-pin socket for dirt.

Ok, a second thing... the junction block behind the right rear tire, tucked up behind the quarter panel. All of the rear lights go through that block.
