So I have wanted a escalade gauge cluster like everyone else, or anyone that already has it, but haven't wanted to shill out the money for one YET!!! but will eventually buy one, so for now did something alittle different.. I decided to go a different route for now, and fully customize my stock Tahoe gauge cluster with a white glow face, mesh inserts and aluminum trim. Tell me what you guys think.
Picture of just the gauge front plate, did mesh inserts and custom trimming

Installed in car. Now, I did use a glow gauge but turned out pretty nice, it has a couple color changes, but the mesh inserts came out awesome, and the metal trim sets it off very nice.

I think it turned out awesome, and didn't cost me an arm and a leg like the escalade gauge cluster does/will. Now, I know it's not the same thing, but I really like how it turned out. Got a couple more ideas on some final touches I'm gonna do to it. But all in all, I'm very happy.
Let me know what you guys think of how it turned out.

You've set the bar mighty high on this mod. I think its better than the caddy cluster. You did it yourself and its clean, all you need now is to share the wealth with the info, I'll bet quite a few of us do the same thing.

not fan of mesh.

think it would look righteous if you would spray the bezel argent silver or similar.

thanks everyone, glad you think it looks as good as I do. I am very happy with the result so far, and think it looks good enough to NOT have to purchase a $200-$400 Esky gauge cluster. Very happy. Pretty awesome look for less the nothing compared to Esky/SS/ or any USSpeedo overlay or cluster. Just need to do something with the needles now. Like the orange, but doesn't really go with the overall theme. Not sure about blue since it's indiglo, but will figure something out. Not done yet, more to come. Again, thanks everyone for appreciate the custom work I did.

Not a fan of mesh???? ok, everyone has there own opinion, n appreciate your honesty. It's not overwhelming as you can see from pic once installed over gauge face. Just wanted something different there to offset the white face. I like the overall look though. Not sure about silver, just cause it might blend with the trim pieces and mesh. Was thinking about doing something though, but need a color or something to offset the white face, silver mesh and silver trim pieces. Silver cover may just blend too much, but get your idea.
I am probably gonna do something with the needles, maybe red or something along with the needle middles like the Esky or SS face comes with. It's not totally done yet, just gotta figure something out.

As far as info on how I did this.
The gauge face is a BEM Performance indiglo gauge face. Got it off Ebay for $20 shipped.
The mesh came from the hobby store. It's just really thin silver/aluminum, anti rust mesh made for projects with very small holes.
The trim is aluminum also from the hobby store. I had to bend each piece individually to make fit exactly the way I wanted. Then same thin aluminum bent around the full outside to connect the other pieces together. Was "fairly" simple and easy. The actuall hardest part was getting the plexi glass/plastic cover off the front. Pain in the ass!!!!! Bending the aluminum was fairly easy, just alittle time consuming to make each one fit perfectly and curve exactly to and around each gauge. Mesh was super easy just cut to fit and attached to backside. Kinda like newer gauge clusters with silver uptop, to add contrast. Since not much going on up there and on message center, was just perfect for my. Still very easily visible to all signals and messages.

thanks Cobra, appreciate that. I love being unique, even though I do share most of my mods with all you guys on here, and people will end up bitting my ideas, and then my mods are no longer unique. But it does feel good being the first and having a 1ofakind part for a minute atleast.

Maybe I should stop sharing mods with everyone!!!!
But then I wouldn't be able to show off as much to the world!!
LOL
Glad everyone is diggin it as much as me. Even though mods are all perspective to the person, it's nice knowing others appreciate what I've done as much as me. Thanks for the props everyone

It didn't come with instructions, but was fairly simple to install. I hard wired my switch to a constant power, and then grounded to the chassis. It is a simple two wire switch, Positive and negative, not to hard. But if you would still like pics, I can try to produce some. But again, just two wires to wire up, and the actuall color change is done through the mini inverter that is supplied for the gauge face and then 4 wires with connectors, and use 1 connector to connect to gauge face. I believe the other 3 are for other indiglo panels that may be purchased for who knows what, possibly other panel lights, but not included. fairly simple install though
