Just as a follow up to my post asking about other people waiting on a 2022 Tahoe, after 39 weeks of waiting, we finally received our 2022 Tahoe Z71. It's everything we had hoped for and we are very pleased with it so far. I drove it 4 hours home yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at how well it handled over our 2000 Tahoe Z71. Glad we hung in there.

Glad you like it. I no longer have a car, WFH and have two Harleys, but I find myself finding reasons to go drive my wife's 22 Z71.

I've never done that with a vehicle before and I'm coming from owning back to back mustang GTs

Looks great! Where’d you get the badges?
eBay - just make sure you get the oem one not the junk ones that are just stickers.

I ran a piece of painters tape across the bottom of existing emblem. So it would be perfect then marked where it started and stopped.

Heated the old emblem with a hair dryer, fishing line and it was off. Then my son ordered an eraser thing that goes on the end of a drill. It was amazing to remove all the excess sticky material. I was done start to finish in 15 minutes.

It’s silly but on the white it completely changed the look.

This is stock:

Looks so much better with black emblem! Just removed my red/silver Z71 side emblems. Weird that they put those on a blacked out truck. I tried the wheel and got spooked I would F up the clear coat, so I just worked it with 3M adhesive remover ( worked very well). I did not put the black emblems on yet. Trying to decide if I like the stealth look or not. Will pot a pic when it gets light out.

Where did you get your emblems from? Are they originally for the Silverado or did you find some that say they are made for the Tahoe? I heard they were different sizes.
Better late than never. If you still need them, you can grab them on shopchevyparts.com. They are from the Silverado.
