Subwoofer in 2dr tahoe

Ok, just finish half my install today. Where do everyone have their subs? I need some ideals fast! Highs and mids are not cool lol.

Theres nothing you can really to do to make it "stealth" i have my 10" sitting opposite of my spare and its facing the spare. it sounds great there! my amp is stowed away in between the spare and the back seat. Stealth i guess you could put it under the back seat in a custom box... i dont know about that though. i had my back seat out when i changed my carpet and i left my sub right behind the drivers seat, it sounded awful!

I am in the process of installing a JL Audio Stealth Box for the center console. The amp was installed in the side panel behind the interior panels when I bought it so it is completely hidden

Dude those stealth subs are bad ass. I was talking to the owner of our audio shop and he showed them to me and I could not believe how loud, low, and crisp those shallow ass subs sounded.

As I see it 6.0 inch inside depth from sub mounting surface to inside wall.

I see... im actually building this enclosure right now but going with different specs of my own and its going in place of the spare. More room on that side with the spare stuff taken out. Also using 3/4", 1/2" just seems to small.

I think the depth is 5 1/2 cuz its 1/2 om front and rear of MDF, It should work for a small 12" bump.

Other than a box built into the side as shown in previous posts theres not a good place to "hide" subs in a 2-door. 10's would be a tight fit under the back seat but could be done. been debating what im going to do with my 12's since my 35x12.50 spare won't fit with the current box.

Always wanted to try my hand at a fiberglass enclosure...

I cut out the inner steel quarterpanel on my 4-door, and cut the fiberglass trim around the window. Fabbed up an enclosure to follow the contours of the space out of 3/4" MDF, then fiberglassed everything in place. Lastly, carpeted the enclosure, and made a plywood grille to go over the sub, preventing anything from sliding around and damaging the sub. About 2.4-2.5 cu ft internally, with the port displacement and sub displacement (Celestion AD15H), I've got just about 2.0 cu ft.

And I have one on each side..... still working great after almost 3 years.

Still have 49" from wheelwell to wheelwell, enough to slide a full 4x8 sheet of plywood (or anything else) in, and have it hang out over the back of the tailgate, or stick out the hatch. As an aside, if I've got something heavy, I'll support it by placing a 2x6 across the top of the two enclosures, which are even with the top of the tailgate - this way, I don't stress the tailgate hinges.

Or, you could just build a center console, have the subs fire downward, mount the amp(s) under the seats.... I fabbed brackets to move my seats about 1 1/2" towards the doors, gave me almost 14" between the seats to build the enclosure (for two Powerbass 10's, and 3 amps mounted underneath).
