Greetings to all from Chattanooga!
Sure could use a little help...
I searched the technical page but couldn't find detailed, step-by-step, start to finish instructions on the spider injector upgrade(including fuel pressure regulator replacement). If such information is available I'd sure be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction... Thanks!

actually one you get the upper manifold off you just literally pull the injectors out of holes. and un-clip body off of bracket, put new bracket, mount body in and route the new injectors.
but in case you need the manifold to here is a simplified list to get it off:

don'tforget to bleed off fuel pressure at the test port.

Removal Upper Intake Removal

  1. Negative battery cable.
  2. Air cleaner intake duct.
  3. Wiring harness connectors and brackets and move aside.
  4. Throttle linkage and bracket from upper intake manifold.
  5. Cruise control cable, (if equipped).
  6. Fuel lines from intake to the rear of the block.
  7. PCV hose at upper intake manifold.
  8. Ignition coil and bracket.
  9. Purge solenoid and bracket.
  10. Upper intake manifold bolts and studs.

    • Mark the location of all studs for proper reassembly.

  1. Upper intake manifold.

Upper Intake Installation

Install or Connect

  1. Upper intake manifold gasket.
  2. Upper intake manifold.

    • Use care not to pinch the injector lines between the upper and lower intake manifolds.

  1. Upper intake manifold bolts. Note the marks made at disassembly for proper stud location.
Tighten

  • Bolts in two steps.
  • The first pass to 5 Nm (45 lb. in.).
  • The final pass to 10 Nm (83 lb. in.) Install the two corner studs first to help align the two halves.

  1. Purge solenoid and bracket.
  2. Ignition coil and bracket.
  3. PCV hose at upper intake manifold.
  4. Fuel lines from intake to the rear of the block.
  5. Cruise control cable.
  6. Throttle linkage and bracket from upper intake manifold.
  7. Wiring harness connectors and brackets.
  8. Air cleaner intake duct.
  9. Negative battery cable.

Might be helpful to put the fuel rail on and test for leaks before putting the upper unit back on. the spider routing instructions come with the new unit but have a pic if needed.

btw if you did not know the unit you need is i http://www.amazon.com/Delphi-FJ10566-Fuel-Injector/dp/B000TYLIFS/

and gasket set:

you will have a gasket or two as spares but you won't be short on any one.

one last thing they all come with a new regulator already installed. and unless you want to drain coolant and remove the thermostat housing expect a little finagling of the plenum on and off.

re: print this out

Hey SunlitComet - Thanks for taking the time to post the info. I think I can tackle this job as long as I take my time.
