I just installed the Sony XAV-AX1000 in my 2007 Tahoe. Since this is an extra vehicle, I wanted a unit that is inexpensive but has Carplay and a volume knob, which narrowed it down quickly. It has a factory look and feel, the user interface is simple and easy and it seems like it boots quickly. For $299 I am happy with it.

I used the AX-GMLAN2-SWC harness. It was straight forward except figuring out all the stuff I didn't need. I have a 2007 non-Bose LT model Tahoe.

I looked at that unit hard myself, because I really like the knob and the front panel USB.

Only reason I didn’t get it was my determination to have wireless CarPlay.

For sure, that would be awesome. I jumped into my friends 2021 AT4 last week and CarPlay is wireless, but it's not in my 2020 Silverado. I guess it's a '21 thing. Bummed : (
