I picked up my car on February 28 of this year. I ordered it January 28 from Anna at Sparta Chevrolet in Sparta, Mi. It is Summit white with Inferno Orange interior 2SS RS manual car with Dual mode exhaust and a moonroof. I love this car a lot!

The corvette has it too. What happens is when your just crusing only 2 of the 4 exhaust tips are open but when you get on it all 4 tips are open for a more aggressive sound.

Think of 1SS as the stripped V8 and the 2SS as the fully loaded luxury V8

then you can also get a RS "package" for either the 1SS or 2SS

RS package consists of:
20-inch Midnight Silver painted aluminum wheels
High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps
Body-color roof ditch molding
Rear spoiler
RS unique tail lamps
RS badging

What is dual mode exhaust?

it is operated by a vacuum control. Essentially, at 3500 RPM the valve automatically opens to partially bypass the mufflers and make it a 'straight back' exhaust, giving more free-flow and sound for spirited driving. when open, it's a straight-through exhaust...very little muffling, very little restriction. When it's closed, the air and vibrations is diverted through a more traditional muffler setup, which tames the sound.

Yes, it is an SS with the RS package. To complicate more, it is a 2SS which includes leather, heads up display, etc.

Dual mode exhaust has vacuum operated valves that keep it quiet when cruising, but are open at idle and when getting on it to make it sound awesome.
