I think you can run 285/75/16's but might rub a bit on the front. I am running 285/75/16's on my '04 with Z71 springs in the rear and a T-bar leveling kit in the front with Bilstein 5100's on all 4 corners.

I thought Z71's all had 17" wheels? Are yours the "snowflake" pattern? If so, I'm pretty sure those are 17's not 16's in which case the equivalent size would be 285/70/17. IIRC factory Z71 tires were 265/70/17.

His is 2000. That's OBS. Wheels are the diamond cut star 16s.

Just for reference, do you have pics of this setup?

You could achieve what you're going for with a set of Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac's.. or even some BFGoodrich T/A KO2's.

Measure the height of your current tires and run the tire size comparison tool: https://tiresize.com/comparison/ and measure for yourself. - you might be able to get away with 285/75/16 but like others have mentioned, you'll probably rub when turning lock:lock - especially in reverse anytime the suspension is at the right pitch. Good luck let us know what you go with.

Have a tire fettish and would otherwise recommend a 17"+ rim to open up your options.
