My security system is not letting me start my truck. This has been happening for a while now so I get out and use my key and get back in and wait and then it starts, now I got my remote working again after 2 years, now it is way bad and this morning it won’t even start at all. So my husband disconnected the battery to re-set, and that still didn’t work… what do I do to turn this off, I don’t even care to have it on? HELP!!!!!

What year is your truck?
Do you have an aftermarket security system? If so, what make/model?
When you attempt to start the truck, does the starter crank or do you get nothing?

Put the key in the on position, don't start the car.
Put on the E-Brake
Put the shift lever all the way down.
Put the steering wheel all the way down.
Remove the dash. (Pulls off)
Now there is a piece under the steering wheel. Has two 8mm or 7mm bolts, unscrew.
There should be a black box in their somewhere. That is the security system.
Unplug. Enjoy having no alarm...
