Seat release cable broken

36E46683-9F08-45B0-AA04-64FC965438B9.jpeg How can I fix this easily/cheaply? The little connector broke off, it normally just slips through the hole in the bracket, twists to secure. The metal piece is cracked, and part of it is gone

It does not pivot at all when I pull the cable by hand. So that’s why the connector above broke. Other side I can pivot with my finger, feels spring loaded. Tried wd40, pliers etc, it won’t budge. How to fix?

More Wd-40 and some banging with a hammer and the pivoting part broke loose. Rust or junk in there I guess. Anyway, zip ties the cable to the hole for now. It works.
