Roof rail removal help

Anyone know how to remove roof rails on 2023 Tahoe? I want to paint them black.

if they are like previous models then there should be a cap on each end, when the cap is removed it reveals the bolts that need to be taken out so the rails come off.
the cap may have clips or a single bolt to release it, if you just inspect it closely you should be able to figure it out. There may be more bolts inside the center of the rail along the roof.

No end caps...that's first thing I was looking for when inspecting. They look to be all one piece roof rails.

i haven't looked at the newer ones, seems like every generation they make them worse (less usefull)
there must screws/bolts or screw covers or something along the rail somewhere

Just bought a new Yukon XL and one of the rails is completely loose and coming off

If this helps any...

I removed the rails on my '95, a few years ago; so I could powder-coat them. The headliner did have to be removed, because the rails bolt through the roof.

It may not be as big a concern for you, but this truck was 25 years old, so we were extra careful about not breaking bolts [due to corrosion], and about re-establishing good rain seals around the holes.

I told the shop doing the work to stop, and just button it back up, if there was any threat from these two issues.

It all went fine.
