Good day Everyone,

The lights are out on my stock climate control unit, and the knobs are jumpy, so I need a new one. I couldn't find an OEM part (GM part number 10367042), so I bought a unit on eBay. It is listed as an improved design with p/n 599-211XD. Graphics font doesn't quite match, but I need a climate control so...YOLO. After install, I ran into a couple of problems: the automatic function doesn't work and the blower motor is really, really low. This affects both the front and rear A/C units. The only way I could get things to sort of work correctly is to set the fan on full and temp down to 60*. When I put the old one back in, everything went back to normal. Any ideas? Did I get a bad unit or perhaps a cheap knock-off?

If you still have your original climate control unit, would you be interested in sending it to me to see if I could fix the lights and clean the controls? Just wanted to play around with one to see what can be done. I've replaced the lights in mine and cleaned the controls and it works great.
