so I need some help or ideas on how to find the problem.

I have split doors (barn doors) on the back of the truck. One side defroster (built into the glass) works the other does not. Where do I start? Is there a heating element somewhere I can check or what?

unknown at this time.
which side does not work? There are door jamb contacts that may be dirty. Get a meter and let me know I will get you the diagram.

Usually the top two are for the window element. Do some ohm readings on the door side only. On the right door there may be 2 more for the lock actuator. You can set your rear defrost switch and check for voltage on body side only. Go from there

bowtie, mine does that too from time to time. i have found that cleaning the contacts has fixed it so far, i just get some 400+ grit sandpaper and buff the pins on the doors and the contacts on the jamb side. and even still, sometimes one lags behind the other but eventually catches up. may not fix yours, but that's helped me.

awesome I will try that later. I was noticing them the other day and how they were covered with corrosion.

Stay tuned....

sunlitcomet, you're awesome! Thanks, they seem to be working now. I also noticed that the rear power door lock was not working...it does not.

Thanks.
