Radio / CD Player Question

I just purchased a 2000 yukon denali and the in-dash cd player and 6 disc cd changer were not working. So i removed the radio and saw it was unplugged so I plugged it in and was able to eject the disc and put cd's into the in-dash player.. however the whole radio does not work while it's plugged in and just blinks 1:00.. anyone have an idea why this is?

sounds like the radio is locked up. look in the AV section and see if you can find how to unlock or atleast get the codes to unlock the radio.
