Went out and took off my roof rack today, and I'm not sure I like being rackless. Those of you who have done it, and served as the inspiration to take mine of......thank you.......I think!?! I need to clean real good, and think of how I am going to spruce it up a little on top now. Did the antenna thing a day or so after that was posted...easy, fast, did the rack today, maybe the 4-hi this weekend. Maybe by then I'll think of something for the roof, or just put the rack back on....IDK! I'll post pics in a little while. PEACE!!!

I took mine off, didnt like the look + the way the plugs or caps looked, I painted them to match the truck left off the crossbars and now I think it looks a lot better

I pulled mine and reinstalled it without the crossrails. These trucks look goofy without a rack due to the bump in the roof, bodyline looks weird with it off :imo:

Well....Ghost, and Max, I did just that. After almost week of having it off, I decided to put it back on today, - the cross bars....looks way better. I'll put up pics in a little while. Thanx for the input/suggestions!

On a side note, I also relocated the iPod cable. Moved it from inside the glove box, to the empty pocket in the dash.

Now I just have to come up with a way to hold the Touch, rather than put it in the pocket, or the ash tray! LOL Suggestions?!?

Ya, I was the same way. I took it off for awhile, and put spikes which did look pretty cool though. But am going to put it back on. I have my rails color matched but with that bump in the roof it kinda looks weird without the rails. But everyone has there own flavor, and I understand both ways. All a personal preferance really

Ghosthoe and Max I agree with. These trucks look hideous without the rack. Leave the rack, and REMOVE the crossbars. What makes the stock roof rack look crappy, are the HUGE crossbars, that are raised ever higher than the side bars.

I just removed my crossbars yesterday, and it looks tons better.
