What projectors have people installed then? How do you know about the light output?

most do a retrofit using morimoto mini. there are a few other projectors that are popular as well. google search

X2. Just got some and it's so much better. Don't get aftermarket projector headlamps. Get retrofit projectors in replica housing.
Since you have a yukon, I would opt for retrofiting some Morimoto D2S 3.0 projectors, FX-R, or even RX350 projectors. The Morimoto H1 projectors aren't worth it if you are opening up the headlights.
Google The Retrofit Source (TRS) or HIDplanet. Lots of good information on those two sites.
My FX-Rs just came in the mail today. I'll be retrofitting them into replica housings this weekend.
Lightwerkz is also an excellent retrofitter for the job if you feel the task is intimidating.

I dont want to open the headlight housing so what would be the best option?
keeping your factory headlights
seriously. There have been 4+ people that I personally know have put these lights on, only to thow them in the trash because they were so bad.

Are you saying YOU don't want to do it, or YOU don't want to pay someone to do?
Unless you retrofit one of the projectors mentioned above, or similar, you will not have better light output than stock. Search the forum to see what people are doing or have done... and please do not just throw HID bulbs in the OEM housings.

doesnt matter they all suck. but go ahead and spend 400 dollars on those lights, since you clearly want to.
All those lights are basically made by the same company, just sold by different vendors on the internet. If you have time, you can search through the forum and find them.
Not trying to be mean, but it's not worth the time for me to search. Everyone in this thread has told you the same thing and we wouldn't all lie to you.
Here are my headlights, done the correct way, with a ton more visibility than those eBay ones.

and this is why you don't want to cheap out. The cutoff of these lights and the output is beyond compare to those...

Actually im not gonna spend 400 on anything just getting opinions on options. Probably just gonna throw hids in the stock housing

just a bluish chrome colored blinker bulb. still flashers amber
You can get a good quality retrofit for $700-$1500 depending on specs and shipped to your door. I'd go out on a limb and say you only have two options: 1) stay oem as is and absolutely don't do anything to them or 2) retrofit using replica assemblies and full kit from theretrofitsource.com. I used VisionAutoworks.com and absolutely love it. Best mod yet.
