So in my 2007 Suburban has power seats a manual recline. The gears are stripped Nd it doesn’t move forward or backwards. I picked up a power seat from a 2012 Suburban. This one 8 way power with heated seats. Is there a way to adapt this seat? I don’t really care for the heated seats. I would like to get the power reclining to work though. The harnesses are different. Has this been done? Here are what the under seat look like on my mine and the one I pulled.

Did you get anywhere on this? I want to do the same, need to replace the cushion anyway...

Yes. Instead of a direct replacement, I found a seat from a 2012 suburban. This suburban had airbags in the seat, but I didn’t need. so I took the seat to a leather upholster, and had him remove the bottom seat and connected to my seat. Now I got a moving seat again.

So if I understand, your new seat is still manual recline?

Yes. I am ok with that. Perhaps I will revisit this at a later time. The primary focus for me was to get the power forward/back working again.
