Alright so here's the issue, just a few days ago I noticed when I floor my Truck I don't feel any torque anymore, when I say any I mean like my rps are sitting at around 5000 and I feel almost nothing, maybe a couple jumps of torque but not like she used to be, I've done a little research and came across the torque converter being the possible issue. But there's all these other possible faults like the torque converter solenoid or fluids etc. Has this happened to anyone and do I have to shell out $800 for a replacement?

so it accelerates then falls on its face at 5,000? how does the fluid look and smell? wonder if you are starting to have some slippage in the trans or possibly a ton of torque management kicking in.

Did you figure something out on this situation? Lately mine has been sluggish when it shifts to 2nd gear.
