Play Video Files From the USB Flash Drive

Just purchased a 2015 GMC Yukon SLT. Question...Is it possible to play video files from a USB flash drive if my vehicle does not have the DVD entertainment system option? If so, what format does the files need to be in order for the vehicle to recognize the video? So far I can only get the audio files stored on the USB flash drive to play.
