I know it's easy and quick but still like the way it looks. i like to keep it as much as stock as possible to differentiate it from others.

for $37 bucks on ebay and less than 5 minutes , i dont think you can beat the "easiness" factor in combination with the resultant look factor---

easy mod, yeah bang for your buck-- quite a bit.

i have to start out slow--- im thinking about that chrom piece on the tailgate but not the handle one-- i think thats too much.

love seeing other people's vehicles and especially their mods with cost and time it takes--
great website.

Upload them to tinypic.com and copy and paste the IMG links.

I like the covers a lot, but I scored a set of real Escalade mirrors for $100 on eBay a long time ago or I'd have the covers. I still don't get why they don't make a little chrome piece for the rest of the assembly.

I wont lie, best $37 i spent too! I got the same ones for the same price and took them off immediately. While driving, I could see how the bottom half of my mirror had the chrome cover 3M taped onto the real mirror and it aggravated me so they came off. I spent 270 total after finding two mismatched 07-08 esky mirrors and getting them painted. It just doesn't feel right sticking cheap plastic that is chrome plated on such a nice vehicle... Especially on your sick Denali. But to each his own! I think it looks great regardless but imagine it with the esky mirrors!!!

I understand your point of view. however, i don't like the way the Escalade mirrors look on non-Escalades. they don't seem to line up correctly and "we" have different moldings so they don't come close to matching. If they did, i would've bought them. after realizing that i purchased these Ebay ones and have not regretted it one bit. truck looks amazing, i see no 3m tape, washing it feels like factory. "Cheap stick-on chrome" it is, but it doesn't look cheap to me. i would bever put the chrome side vents on, or a bunch of other "decorations" but this one mod changes the whole truck. regular Denalis look like they're missing the chrome piece to me and blend in with every other GMT900.

I think I have never seen a Yukon with the color you have. That color really looks good i like it alot.

thanks, i do too. after a year of ownership i still haven't found a color i like more than this one (on our trucks)

Wait, you like chrome stick on pieces on your 60k+ vehicle but you don't like esky mirrors on non esky cars?
I just don't get how you could like the covers so much but not like the real thing it is trying to mimic?

To each his own though, remember, I too bought the 37$ piece at one point! I even ripped off all the original 3M and went to autozone and bought/added better 3M tape and i could still tell it was a stick on piece and not flush with the rest of the mirror. Like I said your truck looks great with the covers and I was just putting in my 2 cents!

escalade chrome mirror bottom caps

hi,

if you buy the stick on escalade chrome mirror bottom caps for your Tahoe, how do you remove the stock top chrome mirror caps (on LTz's)? Do they pry off and leave the stock color of the truck underneath?

or do you buy the color matched top caps and stick them on?
