Picked up an OEM looking Backup camera worth $700 for $30 :)

For you guys that have already done the install, a couple of questions:

Where did you run the ground wire?

Did you hide the cable under the floor, and if so, how? My rear flooring is plasticky under the carpet and it literally seems glued down somehow.

Not sure on your body style, but is there that metal dash brace that runs across inside your dash? you could put a selftapping screw in that or use your radio ground or anything in there. you probably should see a couple grounds going to the same place that would be fine. Or just make your own, anything baremetal on the body.

Im sure he ran his wires under all the door sills, you dont really need to rip up the carpet, but just pull it up a little to stuff the wire. dont pinch them. Factory glued the carpet down on the edges, it glues back if you take it up and push it back down. No worries..

I'm about to try to install my cam, but have one more question:

I got a fuse tap, but I'm wondering if there is a specific amp fuse I should use for the camera. I can't find any info on that or if it matters. I figured I'd use a 10a one just because that's the same as the source fuse, but if lower would be better I'd like to know.

The wiring on this just doesn't make sense to me....it seems like I have something backwards. The control box cable isn't long enough to get it and the cable off the floor of the cargo area, and the power cable runs from the rear of the car all the way to the front and it's not quite long enough.

I hate trying to do electrical stuff myself. I always end up pissed and confused.

well check your pay-pal before you start emailing him like crazy. maybe your process didn't clear yet, and besides we just bought 10 possibly more and to send them out right after Sunday would be kinda hard for him.. just give it time man, don't piss him off. you just got an amazing deal..

Oh It;s not my intention to get him mad or harass him. I ordered on Thursday and haven't received anything as far as a tracking number from him yet. Nothing in my PP messaging either.
