P0758 transmission Solenoid code

Hey group, just wondering if anyone has had this code pop up where the transmission doesn’t want to shift past second gear I believe & had it fixed without the transmission eventually giving up on life. Original trans to the vehicle threw the code up previously & replaced the packs and 6,000 miles later it fried it’s self. Now the reman is on the same path, few months ago pan was pulled had lots of metal shavings and even a chunk, I am guessing it’s killing it’s self. Lasted from 122,000-201,000. Any thoughts appreciated!

I would inspect wiring harness from PCM to Tranny for any physical damage. Then if need be ohm out solenoid B control wires PCM to Tranny connector. Also check for any shorts to ground on solenoid B wiring in PCM to tranny connector wiring harness and internally the wiring harness from socket on tranny to solenoid B.
