Hi. I am looking for some direction if folks can. I just bought a 2023 YukonXL 6.2 AT4. I have hda it thirty days. In has 12000 miles. About two weeks in the CEL came on and flashed for 2 mins then went off. I took it in and they found stored P0300 but said its generic misfire and it wasnt active so could do nothing. then last week it came on again and stayed on, truck running rough and not full power when using gas. I took it in again and again P0300. They have had the truck 10 days now and cannot get it to spring another code that would tell them what the issue is. GM apparently will no authorise them to just start randomly replacing stuff but they also dont want to give the truck back as it clearly has an issue. All this and I have no loaner. Any directions on how to proceed here ? It seems to have go to stalemate. Dealer says they are working with Gm technical team and maybe engineering as well but surely there must be some stuff that can actually start to do even with that generic code, if not then whats the point in the code.

thanks

Contact GM customer service and request loaner, compensation for loss of use of your new vehicle if it goes much longer, sometimes they will make car payment for the month.

I have called gm and they offered 40 a day for rental reimbursing. I need a 7 passenger so that isn’t going to get me anything at that price point. Any insights as to how to direct the dealer or to really allow gm to authorize replacing plugs or coils or whatever. All
Of which dealer said might be issues but without specific code gm won’t approve the work.

When my previous Yukon was hit and totaled, I had a full size Ford rental for a month. Insurance paid $50 per day, but had a deal with Enterprise where the car only cost them $60 per day. Your dealer probably has a similar deal with a local rental office.

Not to rub it in - but I think you've found out why the previous owner was already selling their 2023...
