so i bought 35 6k lows for my nali' and with 35% tint on the whole windshield they just arent bright enough. My fogs are basically brighter cuz they sit so low to the ground so i ordered 55w 8k from ddm today. If anyone is interested in my ddm 35w 6k 9005 slim ballast setup hit me up they only have about 300 miles on them, just pm me

yea super simple to install just plug and play, the only issue i had was reverse polarity which means the + and - were backwards, all you have to do is plug the oem cord into the ballast upside down. This doesnt harm anything and works perfectly, thats what ddm told me to do over the phone.

I just ordered 55w 8000k lows too. I have 50 on my windshield now, but plan on changing to 35 once I get the new HIDs in. Is it really hard to see with the 35? Its not bad at all with the 50 but I feel like my windshield isn't tinted at all during the day cause my sides are so dark.

@ adzam

well the 35w lows 6k look nice and seem bright when i stick my head out the window lol, but my real problem is they just dont cast enough light out far enough. I drive on some back roads a lot and really have to watch out for deer and the 35w just arent cutting it. its not that they arent bright enough, the tint just takes a lot out of them. so thats why im stepping it up, hopefully they will light up the road ahead of me a lot more

I've got 35w lows in TSX projectors, which are pretty bright and great throw and cutoff. But, I just have to try to out-do myself and just bought a 55w kit. Once installed I'll add some comparison pictures to my how-to thread.

Got them installed and they are definitely brighter. It's really hard to get good night shots for comparison at this time of year up here since it's light about 18 hours of the day, and it only gets completely dark for a couple of hours in the middle of the night/early morning...lol.

The projectors still do a good job of keeping the light out of eyes. Drove around for a while last night and didn't get flashed at all, so it must be working. I poked my nose up to a wall, and while not completely dark it looks like the cutoff remains about the same and I didn't notice any scatter. I'll try to get out really late to get some pics in the next couple of days.

Also just replaced my fogs with DEPO foglights and have 55w HID's in them as well. They do a pretty decent job of cutoff for a reflector and even with all four on I didn't get any flashing. Tons of light out front, too. I like it.

Do the DEPO fogs have a glass lens? If not keep us updated on the heat situation. I wanted to put 55s in my fogs but was afraid they would melt the lens.

Look forward to seeing some pics!

It's some sort of plastic. I had the same HID's in the stock OEM lights and had no melting or heat issues. I did have some leakage issues in one of them, though, which was burning out bubls when I'd drive in rain, so I replaced them. I will be keeping an eye on them, though, to see how they hold up.

Wow. That's odd. The 35w HID's are typically a cooler running light than most halogen bulbs, so something seems strange about that.

Although the HID 880 replacements are a little longer, so they do come closer to the "glass". Still, I didn't have any issues with the 55w ones in my old lights. Wonder if you just have a hotter-running brand or something??

A friend of mine has 35s in his fogs and the lenses are burnt pretty bad. I have had 35s in my fogs for almost 7 years with no problems except for leakage in one that blew the bulb. Not sure what brand either of us have. The DDMs I ordered should be here next week!

Here's some crappy iPhone pics after finishing install. 55w 4300k HID's in both lows and fogs:

I have some higher-quality pics but don't feel like downloading and messing with them right now.
