Is it possible to get a battery draw when the hood is left open for a long time on a 2020 Escalade? Can it make the alarm active as to draw current and kill the battery? I had a dead battery twice and the only thing in common both times were that the hood was open for a long time. Thanks for the reply

not entirely sure but you can test the theory by opening the hood and a letting is sit for 10 minutes, after 10 minutes the system should go to sleep mode even if the hood is open, door left open, headlights left on etc...
if your battery dies that fast then it's time for a new battery
if it does not go to sleep mode then something is wrong and you should have it checked.
