dont know if I want to pull the trigger....just bought wife a brand new 2011 a month ago..or keep the Kon and keep pluggin at it.

I'm a sucker for trucks so I'd do it in a heartbeat but on the other hand keeping something that's paid for while you pay down the other new car is logical. This is why I can't look at buying a new vehicle cuz I'll talk myself into getting a "new" crew cab before I'm actually ready to do it

Nice looking rig, but unless you absolutely need a truck I'd keep the Yukon. My FIL has an 09 Z71 and it rides like sh*t...it nearly rattles my teeth out every time I drive it. Trucks have their place for sure, but I'm partial to the ride of the suburban over the Z71 (even with nearly blown shocks and worn down springs on the burb!).

My dad has a '10 Silvy Crew and I love that truck. It drives nice but it's also a 2wd which may or may not make a difference. I'm naturally more pulled towards trucks, though. Once I'm done with my GP in a couple year I'll be getting back into a truck to DD.

For me, though, the fact that you just bought the new rims and tires for the Kon would make me wanna hold on to it for at least another year but as your son proclaimed you are the "wheel *****"

LOL...true. I don't 'need' a truck, but its been since 2003 since Ive had one, and never have had a 4 door...just LOVE the looks of them, even the EC. Don't get me wrong, love the room the Yukon has, drives like new. So much new stuff on it lately. When I get in the 'time for a change' mood, hard to get out of it.
Hence new radio, sound system, rims, tires, etc lately

I definitely feel you on that...but impulse buying is what has landed me in a world of hurt financially, so owning the Burb outright is a true blessing. Still isn't helping much since our rent is astronomically high, but it helps some.

And it feels good to have a car paid off.

Spend some more time on GMFS and read some of the issues first and watch how many peple go back to the NBS. I had an 08 sierra for 25k miles and 3 yrs and had many issues. At 15k miles blew the rear end and trans pump went out right after. I would keep the kon IMO.
