Can I hook up a factory oem backup camera to my avic z120? Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.

yes, just get the proper install wiring kit. It will come with all the connections/adapters you need to keep onstar, camera, xm, chimes, etc.

If I didnt have the camera there originally, is there a slot there to mount it or do I have to get a new panel?

You can dremel out your current panel if your good with tools, but you might as well just get an aftermarket one. The factory wiring isn't there.

That's to hook up an aftermarket camera to a factory navigation.


If you want the factory camera to an aftermarket radio, you need to do this to a factory camera...

Added OEM back up cam to aftermarket radio


Then run an rca cable, power and ground wire to it from the head unit
