Odometer magic?

Odometer magic? 2002 Tahoe 5.3
My odometer read 288k. When I started it the next morning, it magically said 30k! Anyone had any experience with this?

If there is no pics, it did not happen. You put a different cluster in it.

sounds less like magic and more like part of the cluster display burnt out, which is not uncommon.
