no sound sometimes very random

so i installed a new hu and used one of the aftermarket plugs for the radio harness.the radio is brand new and all functions work but sometimes i dont hear any sound.like ill get in the truck in the am to go to work and no sound.i get out of work and its workin fine??its very random and was wondering if anyone ever had this happen on there install?

problem with a ground wire possibly? or a loose connection with the connector?

had the same problem in my 01 tahoe with the 9 speaker non-bose system and it was the amp turn on wire. if you have the same system, just splice the amp turn on coming out of your head unit to #29 shown under the 9 speaker uplevel audio system area on the link below and all will be well.
