Hey guys. Im new to the forum as I just bought a 2001 GMC Yukon XL 4X4. I had to replace and fix a few things including spark plugs, wires, rear lift gate shocks, and I had to replace the valve cover gaskets. Of course I had to also shine her up!

Has anyone had issues with the rear view mirror not getting power? I checked the connections going into the mirror as well as the connection in the cover on the windshield and no luck.

Thanks! I've just been doing mechanical things on it for now..I had to change the water pump and stat yesterday but she purrs now and doesn't leak. I haven't decided if I'm going to put much money into it from the aftermarket world or not. I had a 2014 Silverado that unfortunately got totaled:/ RIP my beautiful girl!

That Silverado was my pride and joy. I did a bunch of stuff to it and now it's all gone:/ it breaks me every time I see a picture of it. But I gotta focus on the future and not be stuck in the past!

You've got a good canvas to move forward whether you mod or just maintain. Hang around here and you know what will happen inevitably.

Exactly! It's definitely addicting! Im trying to save up so I can buy another new truck when my insurance goes down but I've done a lot to this truck to make it run better. Its got 126K miles on it so she's golden until at least 200K or above! Purrs like a newborn kitten. I did a bunch of stuff to the truck that I previously owned and not sure if i want to sink all that into this one. I'm thinking about the future in hopes to get what I paid for it in 3-5 years.
