I am now a 2001 Yukon SLE owner, and OF COURSE I have a couple of questions.

The driver's seat suffers from the left buttcheek sag and it could use new foam. I don't want to use a janky looking booster seat, so am I looking at an upholstery guy to do this (I know a good one) or does anyone have suggestions? Good news though, it's a cloth interior and the upholstery is in really good condition.

I noticed it pulling a bit to the right sometimes when coming to a stop. I've yet to check PSI but the (matching) tires are all in good shape. The alignment seems fine other than this, get the alignment checked or something else with the front end, camber etc to look at? No vibrations, weird behavior etc otherwise.

The oil pressure needle jiggles a bit on some bumps, it's working ok, so I assume this is just a funky old gauge that might need replacing.

Things to do: the PO installed a huge godawful Android tablet so I might go back to an OEM radio or find a small screen dealie that actually fits in the radio slot. A couple of broken/cracked interior trim pieces that shouldn't be to hard to find at the Pick N Pull.

Anyway, nice to be here and here is a pic:

The Seat Shop, in Texas, can supply the lower seat new cover and they are easy to remove and replace yourself. They can also recommend what to do about building up the foam. Or the upholstery shop can do it all.

Get the alignment checked and a good shop will do a complete steering and suspension inspection before the alignment. You may have a brake caliper slide/hardware problem or complete front brakes problem. Intermittent problems are a PITA.

Oil pressure jiggle could be the sensor or maybe even the oil pickup tube, in the oil pan, o-ring. This is common on fluctuating oil pressure but not just over bumps. I doubt that the gauge is the problem. You can use a live data scanner and monitor on a road test. You can also attach a mechanical gauge at the oil sensor port and again, road test.

I don't think The Seat Shop has cloth covers, IIRC. The seat foam, if they have it for yours, is great.

You may have saved me a trip to an upholstery shop…thanks for posting this. I can troubleshoot my inop seat heater while the cover is off as well.

It might be model by model. I just looked up my 2015 Silverado and they offer cloth for it
