I have a 2007 Suburban LTZ with the 5.3L with 8th digit "3" Flex Fuel " Already disabled "
I am getting close to replacing the motor but don't want to put another 5.3 in it, but I do want what ever I put in it to be a GM motor I can buy from the dealer so they can install it and warranty it.

I am programed with Black Bear already, I am looking to go bigger with more HP but want it so I don't have to change computers or any of that besides having a new tune installed.

Any suggestions on GM motors?

do you plan on switching all the accessories and intake as well? if not id do a simple 6.0 swap with a mild cam and spring upgrade at a good indy shop and have BB flash your ecu. youll be very pleased i believe and keep costs in check. the dealer might be reluctant to install a non vin correct engine mainly for emission reasons unless your dealer is very performance oriented and is willing to do it. just my 2c
