i have 8000k 35watt low beams right now but i plan to switch them out to 6000k 55watt lows.
im also gonna do my fog lights. but im wondering if i should do 55watt 3000k for the stupid bright yellow lights or 55watt 6000k's to match the low beams

IMHO, stick with the cooler 35w in the plastic lensed fogs

+1 on the cooler 35w lights.... my fogs are still missing the lenses and the little plastic piece on the inside is all melted. not to mention my bulbs are broken now because of the missing lenses.

mmm, ok. i have plenty of friends with 55 watt fogs (tahoes, cobalts and impallas) none of them ever had an issue with 55watts but i'll look into it b/c i had 75 or 80 watt halogens that melted a small part in the fog light housing so i bought these new ones and wanna go hid fogs..

what color would match best with 55/6000k??? 35/5000k

the 35w hids are plenty bright in the fog lights... 55w is nice as the driver for lows, definitely not well liked by other drivers though.

I just ordered my HIDS for fogs. 35w 4500k. I'm worried about that plastic piece in the stock fog assembly. Anyone know if i'm going to have issues with that? 2003 Yukon

I always like the look of matching color on fogs and lows. HID's put out so much light, anyways. I put 35w 8000k in both of mine.
