Nerf Bars

I'm looking to remove and replace the running boards on my '05 and replace them with some kind of nerf bar. I'm seeing lots of used one for sale in my area but they're for varying years for Chevy/GMC models. Is there a chart out there that shows what model years are compatible with each other?

Not really an answer here, but what about the NBS Z71 bars? Bet you could find those in a yard.

I recently found a set of those in the junkyard and took the left one off. When I went around to the other side I found the forklift that they used to set the car up crushed most of the brackets on the right side. lol . My luck. Oh well, I'll wait for another one to come through hopefully in the next few months.

For those interested, I also thought I'd take the luggage rack off that Z71 to put on my LS because they look cooler. They are not compatible! The Z71 has holes that the LS doesn't have. Too bad... :/

I guess I should have asked this before but does anyone know how the Z71 nerf bars look on an LS model? I see there is molding around each of the connection bars so I'm wondering if it looks silly without that molding.
