They sell the enclosure alone, I'm pretty sure you can put any sub in there you want as long as it fits the size specs. I thought the JL Audio was a 10W1 sub which sound pretty decent in my opinion.

Hmmm, I think I'm going to give it a try to see. Worse case, I can sell it and get something else or upgrade the sub.

Well, I think it'll sound better than the stock setup, but if you're looking for a big difference in sound you're going to need to add a real amp/sub setup.

You do realize it will take about 6 hours to install this, right?

Just saying,, maybe you should be pretty sure about it before you rip the truck apart.

For an amatuer 007.
I can get those in along with an amp install in about 3 hours. Thats with running wires and signal cables.

I already have a 5 channel amp installed, so it should just be a matter of pulling out the front seats and console. It should only take a hour so!

I just installed the mtx thunderform box with the 600w upragraded sub. Also I purchased an Orion 600w amp from the same company. I am very pleased with the items, Very inexpensive and I like how the sub is hidden and doesn't take up the very minimal space already in the back of the truck. Install was alittle tedious but well worth it. For just 1-10in subwoofer it is more than enough bass than I wanted.

How do you like the sound? I just installed (2) 12" Kicker Comps firing towards the back of the 3rd row seats, and it's a little too much bass for my taste... looking for something smooth...

As long as it is not a steathbox I would buy it. I had one in my H3 and hated it.

I personally didn't make it myself but yes I got a custom built one made to go in between the second row captains chairs wrapped in tan carpet to match the interior of my Tahoe. I had 1 kicker solo-baric L7 10" subwoofer in a sealed box pushed by a JL 250/1 amp. Here are pics of it in my photobucket album:

Amp kit, sub, box, and amp ran me about $700-800 I think. That's a rough estimate as I don't remember the exact costs of each thing. The amp I got was flush mounted under one of the captains chairs and it looked really clean. I definitely recommend this setup.
