alright someone else try this and tell me if i am crazy

press the traction control button to turn off traction control....then press and hold the same button for 5 seconds

this will turn off the stabilitrac and traction control

let me know if you are seeing a MPG increase while driving with both off

maybe it has something to do with torque management?

I do not think that will incrase MPG at all!
Because if it did, someone on big forums like this or GMFS would have already tried!

I would rather have the safty and security of my traction control than a couple extra MPGs to be honest.

i doubt it would make any big difference or enuff difference to cuz drivers to turn off all their saftey measures while driving. anything can happen you'll turn it off forget you turned it off get into a jam and mayb liable when they found out you actually turned the systems off for 2mpg increase.

ok ok ok

i understand that taking these features out of service cause safety concerns, i think everyone knows this and if they didnt the point is now made

back to the original question....does anyone else see an increase in MPGs?

RT...i saw about 1.5-2 mpg increase but like i said it might have been circumstantial.

I drove from New Orleans to Houston and pulled 21.7 MPG average while normally i get about 19.9 average.

You probably got your increase because you were on the highway not doing allot of stop and go driving.

I average 17.5 in mine using 87 octane. If I mega mile it I can get 20.

Mega mile =
1 Tuck in behind the big rigs on the freeway. Not tailgating or anything. The new speed law in OH will be nice as I used to have to roll at 55 to do this.
2 No unessasary idling
3 NO HOT RODDING
4 Don't blast the AC = keep it around 80 or open the windows.
5 Keep the speed 65 or less on the highway.

I do a 60/40 mix of highway/city driving.

well ok, driving around for the past 3 days with it off I saw a .6 increase. Not worth it as I did have to be carful when turning in to traffic as the rear wheel would break free.

The only trick that works for me is to fold the mirrors in when I'm cruising on the interstates. I pick up about 1 mpg. I seem to get the best mileage when the air temperature is around 50 degrees. The best I've done is 21mpg coming down out of Massachusetts and onto the flatlands of New Jersey. Going back north I'm lucky to see 19mpg.
