Misfire on Cylinder #3

having trouble with my 2002 5.3 mis fire on cylinder #3.



Injector receiving pulse voltage, injector replace, spark plug and wire replaced, coil pack replaced, then swapped out with know working one.


PLS help

Gotta start with the basics. get a compression reading on that cylinder and #1 and #5 and compare to see if they are reasonably close in compression. You could also have a vacuum leak at that cylinder to check for. What does the old plug look like compared to #1 and #5?

Rookie mistake on noting the plugs while changing. Fixed to work 4 12 hour days so will be next week before I do the compression test.

Was that your ship?
I was on CV-67, JFK, from 79-84.

Yes, that is the USS Kitty Hawk CV-63. I took that pic from a helicopter in the Gulf of Tonkin. I was a ship's company photographer.
