sounds like a good deal. I had 2 memphis 1000 amps n the old setup, which was built before I bought the truck, so it was runnin @ least 4 to 5 yrs strong, pushin 2 12"L7z each. I could play it literally for several hrs straight before the amps would shut off for about 15 to 25 mins.

those amps retail for about $500 sumthin I think. I know the 1500 goes for $700 sumthin. I say do it!

test it first, if it works, get it.

But expect paying a good price, if it ever needs service.

I personally would ditch the Memphis amp for a rockford fosgate t1000.1 for sure! Seen then on ebay for 200-250, and are well under rated. I say this cause I have a memphis mojo QVC 15 in my truck, and memphis componet speakers in my doors, and a T1000.1 on my sub. bench sheet show it puts out 1430 watts, show me a memphis 1000 watt amp that does that! I love memphis, but I own two of there amps and the Rockfords produce more bang for your buck hands down. Just throwing it out there.
