I have had a few problems with my Denali, and now GMC denies my reimbursement for the heated washer?? Here is my list--what would you do???

Problems encountered since August, 2008.

Trailer hitch cover keeps falling off. Fixed with Velcro.
Both drivers side door handles broken off?? Never had that happen on any car ever?? (4x)
Strange dampness/mold odor enters cabin every time it rains-snows-carwash-high humidity outside??
Center cap fell off of right rear wheel when first purchased
Brakes are squeaking.
Recall for heated windshield washer fluid reservoir.
Windshield wipers would not turn off?? Had to replace heated washer module, BCM and fuse block failed, replaced heated washer module--out of warranty $900!!!
Power running boards not working? Re-calibrated by dealership.
Remote start only works from about 15 feet??
Power lift gate close button on lift gate requires 3-4 attempts to get it to close--just do it manually now.
Passenger side front door retainer cap keeps falling off. Now store in glove box so I won’t lose it.
Replaced all 4 chrome 20” wheels due to rust penetrating the chrome.
Chrome GM logo on sides are discolored and black??
Rear Main seal leaking oil.
Tailgate exterior switch not operational?
Rear defrost connectors broke off 4X. Soldered back on.
Front left Bose tweeter not working. Replaced by me. $35.00
Evap canister for gas tank non-operational. Replaced by me. $30.00
Dashboard Fan non operational, no air movement at all. Seized blower motor for HVAC in dashboard $350.00
Power steering fluid leak over front valance.
Dead battery. Replaced by me $120.
Replaced U- joints.

Do you not have a lemon law there? If that was a georgia car you would have a brand new one. Three major things happen in one year and you get a new ride. I always brag on my 05 for the build quality. sorrry to hear that.

Did you buy it new? Are you still under warranty? A lot of those things sound like they can easily be fixed by the dealer. If you are out of warranty, I would get an extended one and fix all that stuff.

I have the hitch cover issue, just a crappy design. My wheels are being replaced under warranty too. But other than that, not a single problem so far. I bought mine used and have had it for 2 years now. It was GM Certified Used FWIW.

I do have to agree though, that lemon would either be replaced by the factory or down the road if it were mine.

Some of the items were under warranty, but the vehicle has been at the dealership 17 times!

I have had it with this ride, going down the road. Wont buy a toyota, but looking at a Ford this afternoon.

My dad has a suburban, no problems, my sister has an 09 tahoe, no problems. Mine is apparently a POS!

Maybe it is cursed somehow???

Anyone know a good witch doctor?

We've had an 07 Tahoe, 07 Tahoe, 08 Yukon, 09 Denali, and haven't had this many problems combined... well one of the 07 Tahoes, but that's because I got t-***** and it was totaled.

Man, tough luck guy! I'd be ticked off too. The only problem I've had in the 07 was the alternator.

If the dealer won't help I'd try to get on the phone with GM and see if they will do anything. Your local Better Business Bureau might be of some help also since in extreme cases they'll file a lawsuit on your behalf. There are a host of consumer protection laws out there. Just make sure you have documentation of all problems/fixes.

I'm on my 5th Tahoe/yukon. I've never had problems to that extent. Sounds like you just got a lemon. I would try and talk to a lawyer about the lemon law.

if it has **** or tires it has problems.
but damn thats a lot

So I am in conversations with GMC, they keep escalating me up to a more senior customer service agent. I told them I was trading to a Toyota, (I would never do that) but I have had it!!! I am going to demand that they give me a different vehicle!!

In addition, last week I apparently ran over something that shredded my main wiring harnes and, bent my shifting cable, some other wires--$2000.00 repair bill and it was in the shop for a week and a half!! DAMN!!!!!!!!!! My insurance covered most, but still had a $500 deductible.

This vehicle has to be cursed!!!!

Troubles

Hope you get that worked out. My father-in-law had to get attorney's and the company even flew out personnel to check the vehicle out. Lemon law finally came in (California) but it took a long time. He says he will never own another GM product.

Pretty sure Lemon Law applies to the same problem occurring more than three times. The dealer is allowed to fix the problem and after the third try, if it happens again, its a lemon. IIRC...
