Magneride day today. Replaced all four batteries with OE. Huge issue though - discovered that the front left strut (which had an orange sticker that very closely resembled the BWI font) was some Chinese trash. That meant I had to order all new genuine GM parts; springs for both sides, strut mount, bellows, plastic bottom spring seat etc. Also the air compressor was shot. This is the gift that keeps on giving! Glad I didn’t go to the dealer for this job. They would have had me good.

This photo is of the right side strut which was original.

Got the new genuine GM parts on today along with new rotors and pads. Both new OE springs up front. Also installed the new compressor. The right side now sits up higher by 1.5”. I’m curious if there is a way to use a level to actually calibrate the ride height sensors for the rear. Are these sensors adjustable? I did the “Calibration reset” but I’m not sure if that just references the current state of affairs … so if it is not balanced when calibrating then it will assume that is normal. Maybe I can jack up the left frame rain until everything is balanced and then calibrate?
