2011 Tahoe LT Dual zone with rear heat...

Concerns: The temperature coming out from the floor/vents/defrost isn't very hot.

What am I looking at here? Actuator?

The volume of air moving seems proper, the controls to move positions (floor/dash/defrost) works.
I have ordered a new thermostat/housing, which I will change out this weekend. The car "seems" to take longer to reach 210 on the gauge than I remember, but it does get there. No change to temperature coming from the vents.
I replaced the radiator in the summer due to a leak in on the driver's side end tank. Should I add a restriction to the overflow hose? Is this really an issue? The old rad didn't seem to be restricted.
I have been through the old posts, still a bit confused...
Does this sound like possibly an actuator? If so, which one and part number am I looking at? (Passenger side near hump?)

Unfortunately it is dark and cold when I get home from work, lol. But, I will pull the shroud covering the fan motor tonight under the glovebox. Will I be able to see the actuator move visually?

Nope. I can feel the hoses to the T's tonight after my drive home and report back. Should I pull the battery to reset the system while I am in there?
Would not hurt to try that. Pull the positive clamp, touch it to the ground. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes and hook back up and restart.

Okay - both hoses are hot entering/exiting the cab. Did a reset of the system by disconnecting the battery.
I also noticed that the recirc button flashes 3 times when pushed. Does this only work in certain modes? I checked "auto" and a few manual vent positions - same result

Okay - the manual says recirc only works with AC on - so scratch that off the concerns

Get your hands on a good bidirectional scanner to see what the actuators are doing.

Went on a short ride. Heat seems to be working much better after the re-initialization.

Not sure how it got out of calibration. I will report back in the morning after 10 hours of sitting in ~30 weather.

Not sure if I should order an actuator and change it out before winter. But the repair doesn’t seem that bad for the drivers side blend (if that’s the one I would need)

Still would recommend viewing the actuators with a scanner to see if they're moving in spec.
I don't think I am going to buy a Tech clone. Are there cheaper options?

The heat seemed to work better on my commute this morning. But it is just a guess at this point. This is only my 2nd winter with the Tahoe, but I seem to think it was better last year. Or, I could just be nutso.

What temperature do you have the climate control set to?

What are the outside temps?

I do like my GM specific Foxwell NT710.

I don't think recirculate is going to work under a certain temp, like 48 or something. I could be wrong, but I thought I had issues with it malfunctioning as well in the past.

Yeah - I believe it only works with the AC on and the vents in the dash position.

So, it appears that the recalibration by unplugging the battery has solved my issue for now. I will keep an eye on it over the next week, hopefully the luke-warm air doesn't return.
