I am looking to buy a 2009 Z71 avalanche and have some questions?

what are the main differences between 2008 and 2009 models beside the 6 speed tranny ?

what are the rear end ratios available for z71 avalanches ? and how to identify them ?

is there any areas need special attention when buying these vehicles ?

GT4 Rear axle, 3.73 ratio
GT5 Rear axle, 4.10 ratio
GU6 Rear axle, 3.42 ratio
