Unfortunately, there are major supply chain bottlenecks associated with the 10 speeds, both GM and Ford. Valve bodies, pumps, entire transmissions, etc...I don't know of any reputable reman company for any transmission type, let alone the 10-speeds unfortunately.

What part of the country are you in (city/state)?

Nick, im in Fargo, ND. i found a transmission but have some questions on the broadcast code. i was told to look for a 10L80 MF6. i found a 10L80 06KJ. im wondering if the MF6 is the general family of 10L80. ive seen 06KJ, 86KJ, 96KJ, etc. what do those codes call out? can an 06KJ be installed in my 2020 Yukon Denali?

Add @NickTransmissions to each post in your thread that reaches out to him, as he is quite busy, and he won't necessarily know that you reached back to him, if you don't.

Unfortunately, I am not super-versed on the 10 speeds as of yet - that said call your local GM dealer and ask for 'Parts'. Provide the last 8 digits of your VIN and they will tell you what transmissions will interchange. Generally, if the unit you want to swap in came from behind the same or similar engine (i.e. a V8 gasser if you also have a V8 gasser) it should work but confirm with Parts before doing anything.

@NickTransmissions thank you for the advice! this is definitely a unique transmission and finding one is proving to be difficult. i have yet to get a ton of answers on the build codes and what part numbers are associated with which transmission and which vehicle they are for. sounds like there are multiple builds with multiple programming features...

***small update*** so after many hours of waiting and research, i was told by a Dealership that the 10L80 remans could be Months...or even YEARS. i reached out to a transmission "expert' here in Fargo, ND and was told he would rebuild it since he has done some work on the same transmissions in the Fords. he quoted me $7100 to do this...a reman with Labor is roughly the same...i told him to start the work as long as he offers a decent warranty. has anyone else been dealing with this?
