Looking for a Tahoe

I am new to this forum and currently have a 2003 cts. I am very interested in purchasing a tahoe. Something around the year 2002 to 2003. What should I be looking out for? I am also interested in slamming it so what would be the best one to purchase? What price should I be looking at? Thank you all and I appreciate it!

00-02 have the older style interior like this (random google search)

and 03-06 have this style

Depends on what you like (prolly wanna go with 03 if you could-obviously less likely to have as many miles on it)

BTW
OBS(Old Body Style) 1991-1999
NBS(New Body Style) 2000-2006
NNBS(New New Body Style) 2007+

People use these abbreviations on the forum a lot so just in case you didnt know... there it is. Took me a bit to figure this out.

Well I paid $10,000 for mine plus tax which came out to like $10900 or something
and that was for an 02 Tahoe with 118000 miles on it. That should give you a point to work around. but they can vary from area to area. just wait til you get more comments on here and you can start narrowing it down. some people get really good deals and some people dont. its the nature of the beast.

yea it was a pretty good deal... but like 4 months later my pcm took a shit and i think the dealership knew about it b4 i bought it.... oh well i love those rims btw roberto... whatchu pay for em?

$2200 wheels and tires package deal SHIPPED from Ohio to KY. National Dealer called RT Tire. They have A LOT of wheels. I actually started by calling the manufacturer of the wheel (U2) then they gave me a number then they gave me a vendor's number which was RT Tire.

no I dont think they would look as good in black. There is a vid of these wheels on youtube but 26'!!! heres a link to one of his vids. watch until his rims STOP while he is moving. its epic. also a very BA tahoe

Depending on mileage and type of dealership (small no credit check type dealership or larger dealership), I've seen 'em anywhere from $8k - $16K range for the 00-06 body style.
How do you like your CTS? I have about 70K on mine now with no problems and still lovin' it.

The CTS is awsome ive got 87,*** miles on it and it runs really well. Ive thrown the CTS V exhaust with K&N intake and cleared the fogs but still not happy with the after market parts that are available for it. Everything is sooooo expensive for it.

I really want a Tahoe and Slam it.. There are so many more things you can do with the tahoe than you can with a CTS.

I want more room especially since I got a kid on the way. If anyone else would like to chime in on some helpful hints in looking for a tahoe.

Well price will var greatly if you looking for:

-4.8 or a 5.3 V8
-2WD or 4WD or 4AWD
-What trim level
-Sunroof, leather, power seats

Also the 2005+ come with E-Fans which are an upgrade most people here do for $200-250ish, but is already included in 05-06 and also the 05-06 have Touch screen Navigation with the LT package

I am trying to find an 03 w/ leather.. Also what if I want to slam it would purchasing a 4x4 be more expensive in lowering? Does a 4x4 determine how low I can go also? Thank you all!

Another thing to consider is if you plan on changing the stock headunit in the future they are double din instead of a din and a half.

Yea ive read up on him a lot already. Ive seen almost all of his youtube vids and been to his site and everything. He also has the white esky that he put together for his friend or whoever. Tahoe and Esky both sick ass whips
