looking for a 2 door tahoe/yukon

hi guy i am looking for a 2 door tahoe/yukon and i am currious what year truck would be best and how much should they go for? I know the 93-84 had the old style dash but what other differences are there between each year . Any help would be great thanks again

93+ was a 4L60E, 95 had the new dash with the TBI engine, 96 and after had the Vortec engine.

It's a project vehicle, I just used it as a donor to fix my 4 door.

Well the 94 like mine has the same dash as the 93, but the newer grill and lower grille. in 95s the dash is the newer style but the engine is the same as in the 94 and 93. Then 96 comes with the new grille and a new motor, the vortec motor. then it is pretty much all the same up to 99

Running driving I'd pick a 96 up and get the vortech. Project vehicle I'd pick a 95 usually cheaper but has the new interior.

Imo the 92-94 are better considering that mine is a tank and can tow anything i stick on the hitch. The interior looks better aswell and damn the seats are comfy

Might be idk all i know was when i got it it has a k on the side and other trannies wouldnt work i had to find one specifically from a 92-94 2dr

That doesn't mean it's not a 4L60E.

And for the last time your pre 95 POS isn't a tank, you've just never been in a real truck so you have no comparison.

Are head gaskets common for these trucks to go. I have found a couple for around 3k with 140-160k for mileage . Is it possible to get 18 mpg. On the highway with them stock or do you have to do mods ?

Excuse me? We had a dealer back in the day so ive pretty much driven alot of vehicle including 4dr pos like yours and the 2dr handles better and just looks a hell of alot better than a 4dr

Ok I found a nice 2dr tahoe 98. But my issue is it has the tailgate and not the barn doors. I know its crazy to even think of if but is it possible to swap from tailgate to barn doors ?? Or how about a tailgate from a 2000-2006 tahoe ???

I have barn doors and no rear a/c. I wish I had waited for a truck with a tailgate and rear a/c.
