Keyless Entry Programming

I have a 95 Tahoe and I just got a spare keyless entry "key" ...... did not come with instructions but is the same p/n as my orig.

Does anyone know how I program it, so I can actually use it??

That did not work!

I saw that thread too .... and tried it numerous times, but I cannot get it to
"acknowledge" that the procedure is right, with the doors locking and unlocking ...... so I think there must be something else that I am missing ....

Ground pin G (lower left hand pin).
Doors locks should cycle twice.
Hold down the lock / unlock for about 10 seconds

Just a 95.

95 is OBDI while 96+ is OBDII, the connections are different.

Possible...you jump connections 4 and 8.

2000 fob remote work on a 98?

DOes anyone know if a 2000 Tahoe remote without the rear hatch button will work for a 98 Tahoe.. they are basically the same without the hatch button. Thanks
