I own a 03 Tahoe I put remote start in about a year ago. This is a pretty picky thing I’m trying to get rid of, but I carry both key fobs with me. The new one that came with my remote start doesn’t sound the horn when I’m locking it or unlocking it which I almost have to hear when doing either for my own piece of mind when walking away from my baby. My original key fob does, so unless I’m actually using my remote start, I use my original key fob. It’s annoying as hell to me and I would like to just get my remote start into my original fob that I know CAN be done. My question is if I have to use a whole new remote start system? Can I just have somebody program my original key fob to my current one? Or I’m even willing to ditch both for a new one that does both regardless.
