I just purchased a 09 Denali and I hate the Nav. I saw where Kenwood has the Garmin Nav but I am worried about this head system connecting with the rest of the truck. How many different items will I have to purchase to have my rear camera, steering wheel controls, DVD, Back DVD, Sirius and probably a few things I'm forgetting to work like factory. Is there a wiring harness to directly hook up so it will work with the Bose system? Is there a better system out there I need to look at first? I really want a good Nav. Thanks for any input.

Texas Demon I viewed your link but I do have the Bose premium package. What I am scared of is everything not working properly. I am also confused which Kenwood model would work the best the 7140 or the 9140. My main issue is I want my blue tooth, steering wheel and everything else working the same way it does now. I just hate the GM nav system. At least Kenwood paired up with Garmin. I have seen some bad reviews about the 9140 layout and Parrot BT. Does anyone have one and shed any light on this?

I have been looking on the Kenwood forum and it seems there are a lot of angry 9140 owners out there. Is this a lemmon like suggested on the forum?

I'm not done yet but I can tell you the GM bluetooth still works after taking out the head unit. I'd recommend saving some $$ and going with the 7140 unless you just want the 13 band equalizer.

There is a firmware patch for several problems with the 9140. I got mine from Crutchfield in the mail. I don't have my system completely installed yet so I can't tell you about any other problems.

I'd call Crutchfield and ask what you need. They are experts on this and will not steer you wrong. Please buy from them though if you call them. They are a little higher sometimes but it is worth it in the end.

+1 to Crutchfield. Been using them for years. They helped me out with my 8120 install. Got an advisor on the phone, told him what I wanted to do, and they told me exactly what I needed. Then I went and got most of the stuff on ebay!:)
