Kac-9104 isn't doing it

Ok, I finally got my kac-9104 in today, took our the kac-7205 and damn my subs hit hard.......for about 10 seconds and then it blew the fuses on the amp. My sub set up is 2 qpower deluxe 12s dual 4 ohm voice coil wired down to 1ohm. Now I looked at this amp and it says it's 1 ohm stable(the reason I bought it). I will be talking to kenwood tomorrow to see what's up as well but I wanted some guess from y'all. My 7205 would run all day long maxed out so I'm almost positive it's not my wire, but I'm open to all suggestions.

Make sure you have at least a dedicated 4 gauge power wire and a ground wire of equal gauge less than 18 inches attached to baremetal which is attached to either the body or frame.

Make sure the subs are wired correctly to provide a 1ohm load...

Is your electrical system upgraded? Me and like 4 of my buddies have all had that amp and it tends to cut off on all of us at a 1 ohm load. I believe it's because of the stock electrical system. I never had it cut off on a 2 ohm load but the 1 ohm is a different story.

Yep, big 3 and 0 guage wire with a KHC 1200. I contacted kenwood and they told me that the amp is 1 ohm stable, it can be played if it stays above 1 ohm. So in other words my 4ohm dcv subs in parallel show a 1 ohm load but when played the go below 1 ohm..... And amp overheats and shuts down. So yea, this amp is going back and now im on the hunt for another one that is truly 1 ohm stable.

Oh well that's the only 1 ohm "stable" amp I've ever had that does that. There are plenty of others out there that will hold that load and not cut off on u.

I've seen in person and read alot online, that alot of kenwood amps always run very very hot and have a lot of issues. If your looking into a budget amp that runs 1 ohm look into hifonics. When I first got into audio i had ran a 1206d from them and also a 1606d with no issues, both at 1 ohm. And your dual 4 ohm subs wired to the final 1 ohm load is not dropping under 1 ohm.

When you put subs in an enclosure you get box rise. I know a guy in cali with 4 18's who has a pair of DD amps strapped at 1 ohm, and after box rise his amps are seeing like 3 or 4 ohms.

My 4 15's are wired to .5 ohms, but my amp is seeing around 1 ohm after my rise.

Box rise? is that the term for the resistance you get from using the terminals on a box, different size wire and long wire and such?

Your impedance will rise no matter what when you put your subwoofers in an enclosure and play music.
